The Day I Stopped Calling It 'Cheating'
I used to call any meal that felt indulgent 'cheating.' A big breakfast, dessert, second helpings — all of it was cheating.
Framing the goal as wrong
Then I realized I was framing the very thing I was trying to do as something wrong. Gaining weight isn't cheating on anything. It's the goal.
Language shapes experience
I stopped using the word. It changed how I felt about the food. Language matters.
